Kilder Brand Identity |
Kilder opened it’s doors under the arches of Moor Street Train Station in 2018 to instantly become a powerhouse of Birmingham’s craft beer scene. The name Kilder is derived from a Kilderkin, which is a beer cask holding 18 gallons.
The visual identity is built around the parallel between the distinctive side profile of the kilderkin barrel and the railway arch which the bar sits within.

The convex shape of the barrel and railway arch informs the proportions of a bespoke typeface used throughout the identity.
The arch ‘D’ in the logotype is grounded using a mixture of colour splits, inspired by the bar’s interior palette.
